Apps for your classroom
With the advent of iPads and other mobile devices in the classroom, there has been an explosion of apps - some good, some not so good. Here are a few I use.
ZipGrade - allows your phone to instantly grade bubble sheets!
Plickers - Plickers is a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student
devices - if you have paper & a smartphone - you have all you need.
Edmodo - similar to Facebook for kids but is a powerful social media tool and platform to give assignments, communicate with students and monitor group projects.
Remind - Remind is a free, safe, easy-to-use communication tool that helps teachers connect instantly with students and parents via texts.
Kahoot - Not an app - but the kids can use their phones to answer on-line quizzes you create & then compete against their classmates.
